Port Adelaide will sense an opportunity for three in a row as they host Carlton. Welll have live scores from 7.40pm AEST.
Port’s season has had its ups and downs, with calls for Matthew Primus’ job dotted in between some surprise wins.
Two weeks ago they accounted for a poor North Melbourne and last week it was an impressive road win over Gold Coast.
A 7.7 to 0.2 third quarter set up a 48-point win, with Travis Boak best on ground due to his three goals and 28 disposals. Brad Ebert and Danyle Pearce also impressed.
The past two weeks have improved the club’s record to 3-6, although they are still way back in 15th place.
Carlton will see this game as an opportunity for a much-needed win.
A red hot start has been followed by some difficult to swallow results for supporters.
Last week, the campaign was settled thanks to a 58-point win over Melbourne. Eddie Betts had five goals while Mitch Robinson, Chris Judd, Brock McLean and David Ellard also played well.
Carlton are in sixth place on the ladder but can’t afford to drop another game they should win. They have six wins and three losses.
Jarrad Redden is in for Port Adelaide and Daniel Stewart is out.
Chris Yarran and Matthew Watson come into Carlton’s side while Kane Lucas and Andrew Collins are out.

Well played Port Adelaide but Carlton were simply rubbish. Not hard enough at the ball and way too many skill errors with the ball. As a Carlton supporter I am scared for the next four matches where we face Geelong, Hawthorn, West Coast and Collingwood.

Carlton are simply soft.

Sack Ratten. We are in the same situation as what Adelaide was last year. A good team on paper held back by average team management. Time for a change. The bloke has had plenty of time.

WOW, Port great effort, Carlton again have proven themselves as the pretenders of the AFL, they're not quite up to top 4 standard, and if they continue this effort they will almost certainly miss the top 4.... probably didnt deserve to win win by 9 gaols vs the dees, sadly the dees didnt keep up the 4 quarter effort last week, if they perhaps had they could have nailed 2 straight, Carlton though have some enormous problems in regard to effort and contested ball they need to sort out very soon or this could be another waste of a season for them.

Enormous depth problems down Visy Park way. This was the lesson we learned from the pre-season, so now that there has been an injury run, they are in dire straights because they can't win that inside ball.
