Join us for live coverage of Stage 7 of the Criterium du Dauphine from 7.20pm AEST, with comments added throughout the stage.

Five category climbs from Morzine to Chatel on today’s loop like 125km stage closes out this year’s Dauphine du Criterium.

At 8.7% and at just 1.5km long, the final mountain top finish at Chatel is unlikely to shake up the General Classification.

Stranger things have happened – especially if opportunists cause some damage on the preceding 7.7km Category 1 climb up the 7.5% Col du Colbier.

But if the total domination of yesterday’s stage is anything to go by, Team Sky is likely to defend the top two steps on the final podium currently occupied by Wiggins and Rogers.

With three weeks to go until the Tour de France, Australian and reigning Tour champion Cadel Evans will keep his powder dry today and look to only defend his third podium place.

At just 12 seconds behind Evans, Froome may look for a Sky clean sweep and this could be where the entertainment lies on today’s stage. Whatever happens today, settle in and keep up to date with the action here at The Roar as we count down to 30 June.
