Fremantle vs Essendon: AFL live scores

By The Roar / Editor

Two clubs desperate for a win meet at Patersons Stadium as Fremantle clash with Essendon. We’ll have live scores from 7.40pm AEST.

Prior to having the bye, Freo notched up a somewhat-surprising win over Richmond at the MCG, a ground they haven’t traditionally had much success at.

They got up by two goals as Matthew Pavlich led the way with a whopping six goals. Matt de Boer also impressed with 29 touches and 13 tackles.

Four changes have been made this week, and the losses are quite notable. Aaron Sandilands, Stephen Hill, Hayden Ballantyne and Zac Dawson have all been sidelined.

Essendon also had the bye last week, but received a shock prior to it after Sydney built a 48-point lead late in the third quarter. The Bombers fought back, but it wasn’t enough.

Jobe Watson led the way for his side in the thriller with 32 touches.

They’ve also made four changes: David Hille are among the inclusions Kyle Reimers; Alwyn Davey and Tom Bellchambers are among the outs.

The Dockers are 6-5 and sit 11th on the ladder, while the Bombers are 8-3 and in sixth.

It’s fair to say that the Dockers need a spark to their season, while the Bombers need to respond after a flat couple of weeks in which they’ve lost two in a row.
