Mundine vs Geale: Fight to be held at the Sydney Entertainment Centre

By Dushi / Roar Rookie

It has been revealed today that two-time world champion Daniel Geale is putting his IBF middleweight world title on the line against Anthony Mundine at the Sydney Entertainment Centre on January 30.

This fight is shaping up to be one of the biggest battles in Australian boxing history.

Aside from the huge pay-packet this fight will surely attract for both fighters, Geale also seeks to steal Mundine’s audience while Mundine is seeking the credibility of defeating someone with Geale’s resume.

A tonne is at stake here also, especially for ‘The Man’, with most pundits saying a loss would be the end of his career.

For Geale, the big fights are waiting for him in the US however a loss would surely mean those dream will be nothing more than that – at least for now.

This encounter of epic proportions will no doubt earn both boxers respect and will promote the sport of boxing in the country like No-one has ever done before.
