Rogic cops three-game A-League ban

By News / Wire

Rising Central Coast star Tomas Rogic has been given a three-game A-League suspension for his rash challenge on Sydney midfielder Rhyan Grant in Thursday night’s loss to the Sky Blues.

Rogic was red-carded for the wild tackle which occurred in the 95th minute of the spiteful fixture, prompting an automatic one-game ban, but the independent match review panel advised of the additional two-match ban on Saturday.

The Mariners have decided not to fight the ban.

Rogic is understood to be disappointed by the ban, which will force him out of clashes with Perth, Western Sydney Wanderers and a highly-anticipated showdown with heavyweights Melbourne Victory.

The 20-year-old has enjoyed a significant rise in 2012, taking a bigger role at the table-topping Mariners while also making his Socceroos debut in a 2-1 victory over South Korea in November.

If you take a look at the intent shown on Rogic's face he has got what he desereved. He is only young and can only hope he will learn from his error and not become a repeat offender.

Rogic made a mistake and is being punished as if he was a repeat offender.Punished not only by the 3 game suspension but by the idiots, football ignorants who jump on the band wagon to bag him. Ball players like Tommy,ADP and many others are being kicked every game by the hackers that always resource to cheating in order to prevent good players from performing their game.Referees are the ones to blame. They're the main problem in the HAL They protect the mongrels, hackers, the anti-football players instead of protecting the main attractions of a football game which are the technical players..Most of the Aussie refs are incompetent and should be thankful that they are working in Australia. In Europe or South America these refs would not even be considered to ref.Feel sorry for players like Rogic and ADP.They're the victims and when they had enough and react they are punished as if they were criminals.

He probably got off lightly to be honest, that was an absolutely horrible tackle and look on his face he was out to inflict serious damage on Grant.Rogic is probably the most fouled player in the league and im sure its probably starting to get to him but no excuses.
