Australian young gun Bernard Tomic once again takes centre stage at the Perth Arena for the 2013 Hopman Cup when Australia battle Italy in their final group A clash. We’ll have a live blog and score updates from 8:30pm EDT.

Tonight the 20-year-old is up against Italian veteran Andreas Seppi.

This will be their second ever career meeting, their only other meeting coming back in 2010 at the Queens tournament in London.

Tomic took that match in a tight 6-3 5-7 6-3 win. When he steps on to court tonight, Tomic is likely to still be reeling from his shock upset win over world number one Novak Djokovic last night and will come out full of confidence and ready to fight.

Seppi on the other hand is yet to win a match at the Hopman Cup after losing to both Djokovic and Germany’s Tommy Haas. The Italian will be hoping to turn around his misfortune and get his Australian summer back on to a winning track.

Seppi is a crafty player, having reached a career high of 22 in the world and also made it to the fourth round of Roland Garros last year.

At 28 he is now in his 11th year as a pro and with the amount of experience he has gained over those years, he can certainly trouble Tomic if the Australian isn’t on his game. Tomic is the warm favourite, but it won’t be easy for the young Australian.

We’re going to be in for a close game tonight so join us live at 8:30pm EDT with all the action from Perth Arena.
