Calling for donations to send Steve O'Keefe to India!

Considering what has been the worst day in Australian cricket since the diabolical first day of the MCG test in the 2010/11, it’s become time to start a pledge drive to get Steve O’Keefe on the plane to India.

I’m absolutely certain there are enough Roarers out there who wouldn’t mind chipping in a buck or two to get him that return ticket over to India.

Hell, I’ll bet we would happily pay a little more here and there if it means we can ship Glenn Maxwell, Xavier Doherty and the ashes of their Test careers back to Australia.

I’ve been having a look at some airline websites, and if we act quick enough, we can secure some good specials to get him there.

We would need a contact at the Indian embassy to fast track his visa, so some of the surplus should be used to grease the wheels of the Indian ambassador.

Enough is enough. I’ve been following the Test match through the interestingly faux-posh Test Match Sofa boys, and as great as it is, it is becoming a bit hard to hear seven hours of Australian bashing by eighth-tier English journalists.

Steve O’Keefe embodies exactly what it is needed in the Australian test team: talent. Bowls a good mixture of attacking and containing bowling, and is very useful with the bat.

Australian cricket and its fans cannot take another day like this.

If Cricket Australia refuse to accept the generous donations/bribes of fans to send O’Keefe to India, then perhaps the money can be used to treat John Inverarity’s obvious vision problems?

Anyone know how to start an online donation drive?
