Brendan Rodgers has slowly enforced his exciting passing style of play on Liverpool football club, implemented by his attitude towards the game and by bringing in Joe Allen, who fits the passing game he desires.
Rodgers has made many new additions to the team including Daniel Sturridge, who has been fantastic for Liverpool ever since he arrived, and Philippe Coutinho, who is an exciting prospect for Liverpool’s future.
Andy Carroll, Jordan Henderson and Stuart Downing – all acquisitions from Kenny Dalglish – have not lived up to the amount of money paid for them. Compare that to Sturridge and Coutinho and Rodgers has brought nothing but future stars to Liverpool.
By sacking manager after manager, Liverpool failed to climb into their desired Champions League spot as they have not given their managers enough time to implement their tactics and construct the team to the way they play.
Sir Alex Ferguson is the most successful manager in British football history, winning more than 30 trophies during his time in charge of Manchester United. United have stuck with him since 1986 and from that they have enjoyed much success.
Brendan Rodgers looks to have what it takes to take Liverpool back to the top but the board and their fans must be patient. Liverpool is a work in progress.
Rodgers knows Liverpool is a work in progress, saying, “This is a group that is growing all the time.”
As the season has gone on, Liverpool have improved. Liverpool fans hope they will continue to improve and, even though the Champions League places are probably out of reach, this year a Europa spot is still desired.
Brendan Rodgers has told Liverpool’s owner, Fenway Sports Group, the club needs to buy “some men” to eliminate the lapses that have damaged his debut season at Anfield.
He knows the squad needs improving in the future and don’t be surprised if next year the squad is very different to the one you see playing now.
Rodgers has claimed Liverpool will not require ‘wholesale changes’ this summer, saying that the impact of the £12m January signing Daniel Sturridge is a lesson in “improving key areas if we are going to make the jumps we need to make.”
Brendan Rodgers seems like a man who likes youth players, as in the January transfer window he bought no one over the age of 24.
Under Rodgers, teenagers Raheem Sterling, Andre Wisdom and Suso have been among those to feature in his team. They have flourished under him and the opportunities he has given them will only do them well for the future.
It has to be said he has not had the perfect season – the cup win last year for Liverpool has not been defended and they have not achieved a Champions League spot – but there is progress.
It may take a while, but Brendan Rodgers has been paving the way for success at Anfield.

Suarez might be keen to stay if Liverpool get the last Champions League place, otherwise expect both his and the clubs resolve to be tested this summer when the likes of Bayern and PSG put in substantial bids. Theres definitely a bit a progress from last year but watching the match last weekend they still look disjointed in midfield. Joe Allen will have to stand up, if hes good enough?, and claim the midfield for himself soon. If he doesn't Liverpool will have to look for more midfield recruits in the summer.

Rogers will take them as far as Fenway Sports Group allow, they need to be behind Rogers 100% and stump up the coin he needs. They need to stop lolly gagging around with the Red Sox and put more time, effort and money into Liverpool.

extreemly lucky? 1. What abt bale coming in illegaly. i.e. He was of the field for treatment. And came back in. In an advance position on the right flank, unmarked. Which in wrong a playe can not come in like that in a advance position. 2. What abt the 2nd goal? Falce foul which the biggest unnoticed cheat in epl -bale earned. And didnt johnson sliped? Was the two goals spurs scored realy deserving? Cheap goals to be conced, who was really lucky? These spud guys have real double standerds. Just last week, when spurs beat arsenal , with two goals from bale n lennon, which were actually such basic mistake in defanse.(playing a high line still allowing the spuds so much time on the ball. No pressure at all. Thats y these two goals were like so easy. Parker and gilfy Were actualy unmarked had plenty of time to spot the run .such goals are scored at school level.) even then what was made out of it was like spuds has changed the london dynamics. And as if they have turned something around. No one said any thing abt such a cheeky win. Compair this to liverpools win. It was hard faught. The mistakes made by players was the immence pressure. And no credit is given to us. Media is creating an illusion. A team no doubt good enough. But trying for champians league for 3-4 yrs now. And has it gone beyond that? No . Still it has been made look like the emergance of new barca. get grip guys.

They do still have a long way to go. Suarez looks like he is keen to stay though. There has been much improvement. The win over Spurs was without Pepe Reina as well. There is much better depth in the Liverpool lineup with Sterling not getting a start anymore despite his great start to the year. There is only better to come under Rogers.
