With their new running attack game plan leading to recent success in the form of a 72-10 smashing of the Kings and wins over top teams the Stormers and Chiefs, the Waratahs are starting to look like a competitive Super Rugby team.

The Waratahs have struggled since the start of the Super competition, despite having a star-studded team, filled with Wallabies.

Once again this year the Waratahs have a team jam-packed with Wallabies, but the difference is they have slowly worked their way into playoff contention.

Could this year be the turn around, where we see the under-achieving Waratahs become a serious threat at the title?

Is this the season where the Waratahs take responsibility for their talent and show the rest of the Super Rugby the true threat they are.

We will see if the Tahs can keep up their recent success and follow up with some big wins over the next few weeks. Only then will we know if the Waratahs are serious.

The Waratahs’ next game is a big one against first placed Brumbies. If they can win this game, it will be a huge boost and prove the Tahs can compete.

And maybe, just maybe, they can get a roll on and make it to the playoffs.
