Launch of RoarRugby - your dedicated rugby video channel

By Scott Allen / Expert

The Roar has recently launched a dedicated channel on YouTube so you can access all our rugby videos in one convenient location.

Some of the videos accompany articles on The Roar but others don’t. The best way to find out whenever we’re uploading new videos is to subscribe to the Roar Rugby channel here.

I started producing rugby analysis videos in 2010 and so far those videos have been viewed just under 850,000 times on You Tube. To help launch the Roar Rugby channel I’ve uploaded 80 videos that include those I’ve produced for The Roar over the last few months and many of my previous videos that have proved popular on YouTube.

These previous videos cover a wide range of areas and even though they’re not all dealing with current players or matches you’ll find that a lot of the analysis still applies to what’s happening in current matches.

In particular, the technical videos looking at key areas of the game are as relevant today as when I first produced them.

To give you an idea of what’s available I’ve included my highlights video of Stephen Larkham’s career below.

Some of the old Wallaby footage included goes as far back as the 1970’s.

Share this page or a link to a particular video with your mates and don’t forget that you’ll get an automatic update when new rugby videos are posted by subscribing to the Roar Rugby YouTube channel here.

Here are links to videos in a number of categories. Links to the remaining videos are included at the bottom of the page.

Scott Allen could well be the best rugby coach in OZ, or at least technical advisor. Wow to think the ARU some as Scott's says have a problem, and they thought David Nucifora would be a better high performance manager than Scott Allen, wow. Scott Allen for HP manager of OZ rugby, could do alot worse. Heck be Link's strategic advisor, or runt he whole damn thing be wallaby coach, sack Link, forget Jake White hello Scott Allen/Laurie Fisher combo. I like it 2 technical minds running the show. You'd make even Buck John Buchannan excited with his techno mind.

I'm with Johnno on this one. This sort of analysis is really unique and brilliant.

Great analysis love it, shows that they are not that complicated but so effective. The wallabies should be getting people like Ella to give them better easy to form moves to execute.

I'm sure the Wallaby coaches see the issues I see (and more). In my experience it's very hard to make some changes during a season - it almost becomes about maintenance. Pre-season is the time when most significant changes get made - unfortunately the Wallabies don't really get a pre-season so improvements will have to also be made when players return to their Super teams. Having said that, I expect that this block of time together on the EOYT will give the coaches a real foothold in making the changes required.

Scott, I just wanted to acknowledge and applaud the fantastic work you are doing with your analysis pieces. They are balanced and very educational. I am always eager in waiting for your next article. One question: do you not think its a REAL WORRY that many of the technical aspects (read deficiencies) of the Wallabies game remain relevant so long after u have identified them?? It's the lack of progress and improvement more than any other 'lack' within the Wallabies that grates me the hardest!

I'd like the Roar to do an ASHES technical analysis video's, the real technical stuff and stats of the match, and graphs and clips like this, and pitch stuff and swing stuff and where the ball is pitch, all the juicy stats and technical stuff. That would be awsome. Geoff Lemon's ASHES diary is good i liked that very funny and general chat about the cricket, I'd like to see as well as watching that, the technical analysis and investigation into stats of the match and days play.

True Scott. I suppose I am just saying I wanna see more, and if the roar can get you or find anyone else with the technical skills to do some more Boks,AB;S and even Pumas technical analysis content that would be good. The demand maybe there. People like me who like statistics, and technical stuff and i can say Biltongbeck here to and the 850,000 clicks, there might be a demand for more AB'S,Boks, and even Pumas content. Thanks for the link, i had already watched it, so your in demand Scott. Keep up the good work.

vipbox.tv - Streamed on a Gryehound Bus between DC and Atlantic City watching Rebels beat Crusaders and was asked by bus driver to be less animated lest I be off loaded. Ok once youve navigated all the pop ups - not bad quality and plenty of other live sport.
