Mundine vs Mosley back on?

By Bones506 / Roar Guru

Expect an announcment from Mundine’s camp on Thursday that the fight between Anthony Mundine and future Hall of Famer Sugar Shane Mosely is back on and likely to be November 27 at All Phones Arena in Sydney.

Mosley also confirmed via Twitter that he’s likely to come back to Sydney for the fight. “Yes, it look(s) like Australia,” Mosley said when responding to a fan.

It is understood that Mundine and Manager Khoder Nasser have guaranteed an amount greater than the original A$1 million promised.

The previous bout fell over when previous promoter Vlad Warton did not pay the outstanding balance which resulted in a shock departure of Mosley heading back to the US.

Mundine was left rueing what might have been as he focuses on tryign to get his career back on track.

Mundine will promote the fight given his previous success in promoting his fights. It will be interesting to see if ticket sales and interest in this fight grow as the prior fight had garnered limited interest from the public with limited seat sales and pay-per-view pickup prior to fight night.

This fight is seen by many as Mundine’s last shot and a loss will ultimately end any future desire to be a name in the US fight game.

At present he is an unknown fighter in the US but a win over Mosely who has fought the best in the business would certainly attract some attention from the US.

With that said Mundine is a long way off a fight with the likes of Mayweather.

Expect plenty of media coverage from Fenech and co as the Mundine vs Mosely fight kicks off again.

Hi Pete, Hot tip! You need to learn how to use correct grammar in you comments. Full stops are a great invention, you should try them some time. I promise you won't look back. Now back to the fight, Mundine will suffer another defeat, but like always he will have some sort of excuse. On a brighter note, I've heard there are a couple of morning radio jock jobs available in Sydney at the moment. Maybe Anthony "The Man" should apply?

It's pretty simple - Mosley fights for money. If Mundine and Nasser put up the purse, then Mosley fights. If they dont, he doesnt care.

Hot tip! Mundine will win on points in a controversial one then will get no attention from the USA he would haveto knock the sugar man cold to get a big name and I can see that happening about as much as Gillard becoming prime minister again I'm pretty sure choc is over the hill as far as America goz, just hang around the hot dog stand and face green at light heavy least it will set up ur retirement good luck tho choc

Sugar Shane looks like delivering a knockout blow to his own credibility, that's for sure.

Wow what a surprise. NOT! Nothing like a bit of controversy & a walkout to generate a bit more interest in an event that looked like being a dud. My 86 year old mother could have seen this coming!
