When Stuart Broad edged a ball to first slip off the bowling of debutant Ashton Agar, the cricketing world had erupted with hate towards the tall English fast bowler.

I remember watching crucial moment in the test match at about 1:30 in the morning, and I was more than a little annoyed.

So annoyed, that I vowed to myself that if I was ever to edge a ball in a match, I would walk straight away without waiting for the umpire.

Anyway, enough about my story and back to Broad.

Recently, a man has created a Facebook page where he promises to invade the MCG arena on Boxing Day if he gets 50,000 likes.

He currently has more than 100,000 feral likers, which has lead Cricket Australia to contact Facebook to request the specific page to be removed from the successful social media site.

The man has also apparently told Triple M Sydney’s Grill Team on Friday morning that he will “either throw beer or a meat pie” at Stuart’s face.

CA says that they are taking this issue very seriously and will not tolerate anti-social behaviour at the cricket.

If this does happen, it will not only hurt Stuart, but the entire Ashes series. Let’s keep the rivalry friendly.
