The Rugby League World Cup is over and the Kangaroos have been crowned the deserved winners.

Australia fans would be jubilant with the revenge taken over their arch rivals New Zealand.

The constant pain of four years has finally been buried and in superb style.

The score line is flattering.

However, the one question which still lingers is as a rugby league fan, is where does a World Cup final win rank when compared to the NRL grand final win or even the State of Origin victory?

Other sports have also faced similar comparisons, like when World Cup football is compared to the Champions League.

Many football fans are divided as to which the better competition and which one they prefer.

The NRL grand final is the premier club competition in the world in the league circle.

Started in 1908, the match had a record audience of 108,000 in 2000 before the capacity of ANZ Stadium was reduced.

The State of Origin is the annual best-of-three series of rugby league football matches between the Blues and the Maroons, who represent the Australian states of New South Wales and Queensland.

It has record crowds and the biggest TV audience in Australia compared to any other sport.

It is also broadcasted in 91 countries and creates riots in PNG whenever it is screened.

The World Cup was first held in France in 1954 and has seen 14 incarnations.

Australia has won 10 times, Great Britain won three times and New Zealand once.

Three teams have dominated the World Cup in its history.

However, there are upcoming teams as well, like Fiji, Samoa and the USA, despite some lopsided scorelines.

Among the big three, the Kangaroos are an excellent sports team.

It’s rather unfortunate that they do not get the respect they deserve.

It could be said that they are a team on the same page as the All Blacks.

So, as a fan of the league, where does your vote go?

What is the best and most exciting tournament?

What is the most rewarding as a fan, the NRL grand final, the World Cup of the State of Origin?
