Travis Head obliterates RCB in record breaking century... and just wait for the celebration!
RCB have suffered a massive HEAD-ACHE after Travis Head smashed the fastest century by an SRH player in just 39 balls, as they amassed…
The Melbourne Stars have played some seriously good cricket thus far, and as a result, have five wins – all big ones – and sit atop the table.
But should that be any real surprise to us? I don’t think so.
For all three seasons the competition has been active the Stars franchise have had considerably the best playing list.
I’d like to point out that I am not suggesting or hinting at anything here, but does anybody else wonder, even slightly, how these guys can fit them all in their playing list?
Each year the eight BBL sides have a $1 million salary cap to play with when they form their 18-man squad.
To me, it seems the Stars have no real weakness nor any flaws.
And don’t get me wrong, they could just be far better than the rest with their list management and selection.
Every other side has at least a few youngsters, whom are inexperienced and who some might even call ‘no names.’
Their star-studded batting line-up, with their quality all-rounders, backed up with a supreme array of fast bowlers, surely must leave the rest wondering?
Do they really have the strongest list or do we just assume that because of the way they’ve been playing?
A lot has been said about how the Stars should win this season, and going by form, they should. It’s almost as if it’s the title they have to win, and everyone wants them to win it.
Perhaps they’re called the Stars for a reason.
