Perth Glory vs Western Sydney Wanderers: A-League live scores, blog

By Zee / Roar Guru

Perth Glory host the Western Sydney Wanderers at NIB stadium on Saturday night. Join The Roar for live scores and coverage from 9:45pm (AEDT).

The Wanderers come off a welcome break but their schedule is about to get hectic starting with this away trip to Perth before they kick-off their first Asian Champions League campaign next week.

Coach Tony Popovic has come under fire for his `rotation policy’ but all his players are now fit and firing at just the right time. Though who he’ll start is anyone’s guess.

The last time Perth met the Wanderers they lost 3-1 and haven’t managed to win in the three games since.

The Glory have the league’s equal worst attack with just 19 goals in as many games and finding the back off the net won’t be an easy task against the Wanderers’ water-tight defence.

Perth haven’t managed to beat the Wanderers in four previous encounters and this week is destined to be no different.

Key: Youssouf Hersi. The right winger is a constant thorn in the opposition’s side and is bound to cause problems for Glory’s defence.

Tip: Wanderers

my first reaction to that was, what is NTS saying? Spira is a far superior footballer. But it's good to see the players pushing each to perform better. Not a great performance but considering how many changes we made it was very decent. Hope Juric is ok. We will need him midweek.

FT PG 0 WSW 2 WSW leave the wild west with all three points, eerie silence here at Perth. Solid win for the Wanderers. Spiranovic and T-S- oddly having a little disagreement at the center of the pitch Night

Finally some excitement in the game. Great save by Tyson followed by a wonderful assist by Gallas to allow Juric to score.

Tyson' save, great work - so glad for him! And then Tomi up the other end, great composure there after Gallas made a fool of himself.
