Here’s a quick look at the latest action from the second round of the NBA Playoffs.

Pacers 86 Wizards 82 (series tied 1-1)
After weeks of immense, and an often bewildering, struggle, Roy Hibbert was back to his old ways on the Indiana hardwood.

The big fella followed his 0 point, 0 rebound game with an emphatic return to form, dropping 28 and 9.

He was responsible for the first two buckets of the game – a midrange jumper and a three point play. That set the tone for the rest of his evening, positioning himself well with and without the ball, and scoring largely from fakes, spins and hooks.

He scored nearly as many points today and he did in his previous 7 games combined (29).

Marcin Gortat top scored for Washington, with 21 points, and made his presence felt when he dropped the Polish hammer on a conveniently placed Ian Mahinmi.

Gortat then followed it up later in the game by flying down the lane and cramming one on Hibbert. Vicious stuff by the Polish slammer.

With John Wall struggling to create and shooting 2-13, with recently hot wing scorers Bradley Beal and Trevor Ariza combining for an icy 4-13 from the land of plenty, the Wiz-kids simply didn’t have enough offensive juice to get the job done.

Thunder 112 Clippers 101 (series tied 1-1)
Fresh off of his incredibly graceful and touching MVP press conference, Durant raised the trophy above his head pre game and delivered a simple message to the fans.

“We need to win this game,” he said.

Win they did, with 12 and nine from their hero and a 30, 10 and 10 triple-double from that other guy, who’s also alright, Russell Westbrook.

OKC’s two stars created all kinds of beautiful offence, as they split the scoring load and seemingly dished it off as often as they shot it. It’s no secret that OKC’s offence is occasionally out of sync, with KD and Westbrook appearing to be duelling banjos. However tonight, you heard just one melodic tune, broken up only by brief interruptions offered by that glorious swishing sound.

Not to be outdone, Kendrick Perkins went for eight point and nine rebounds, and provided us with one of the more fantastically awkward shots in recent memory.

The Mavs are ‘quietly optimistic’ when it comes to landing Carmelo Anthony. Much like they were with landing Dwight Howard and Deron Williams.

After their blowout win over Brooklyn in game one, Miami’s playoff ticket prices rose by 16 per cent, with the average ticket price jumping from $392.39 to $456.56. What a shame that the Heat organisation is taking advantage of its fans, known for their die hard nature.

Hell, most of them must have been on board since 2012.
