[VIDEO] Melbourne Storm vs Manly Sea Eagles: preview

By The Roar / Editor

Fierce rivals the Melbourne Storm and Manly Sea Eagles face off on Saturday night at AAMI Park.

Cameron Smith snapped a field goal in golden point, as the Storm snatched a 1-point victory at Brookvale Oval in Round 1 of this year.

Both sides have played out some classic encounters in recent years, with the hostility between the two clubs likely seeing another explosive matchup on Saturday night.

The Sea Eagles will be missing a few key players for the clash, with captain Jamie Lyon and lock Glenn Stewart out with injuries; playmaker Daly Cherry Evans is in big doubt to face the Storm due to a calf injury.

The keys for the Storm side will undoubtedly lie in their big three of Cameron Smith, Cooper Cronk and Billy Slater as they will all need to lift for the Storm to rebound from their uncharacteristic poor performances in the last month.

The key injuries for the Sea Eagles will place a big burden on youngster Jack Littlejohn to reproduce his fine debut against the Raiders in the last round.

Fullback Brett Stewart will also need to conjure some of his signature magic for the Sea Eagles to come away with a victory in Melbourne.

Join The Roar for live coverage of the Storm vs Sea Eagles clash from 7:30pm (AEST) on Saturday.

"GO THE EAGLES" Everyone would like to see the Eagles flogged by the Storm, but that wont happen, the Eagles have got plenty of talent to fill in the gaps of the injured, so bring it ON. "GO THE EAGLES"
