Here’s the latest roundup from the NBA Playoffs action.

Indiana Pacers 95 Washington Wizards 92 (Pacers lead 3-1)

With his team down by 19 and playing their usual painfully uninspiring basketball, Pacers small forward Paul George activated the “when in doubt, dominate” mode. He managed to spur the team on to a new level, dragging the Pacers over the line.

George went for 39 points, including seven threes, to go with 12 rebounds. While George did much of his damage from range, he also made a nuisance of himself in the paint, mixing things up with the occasional mid-range, pull-up jumper.

John Wall had a pretty average outing, finishing with 12 points, seven assists and five turnovers.

Both teams charitably attempted to give the game away within the last ten seconds. Lance Stephenson kicked things off by inadvertently passing to a cutting Bradley Beal under Washington’s hoop. Trevor Ariza then followed that up just nicely by deviating from what Randy Wittman drew up during the timeout, throwing away the ball, and the game, off an inbounds play.

One thing lead to another and just like that, Indy have taken what must be one of the least convincing 3-1 series leads in the history of 3-1 series leads.

LA Clippers 101 Oklahoma City Thunder 99 (Series Tied 2-2)

During Game 4, OKC got off to a blistering 15-3 start, Durant dropped 40 points, Ibaka hosted a block party, and the Thunder spent much of the night operating with more intensity than Liam Neeson during a regulation killing spree.

However, by the time the fourth quarter rolled around, Chris Paul, Darren Collison and the rest of the Clippers were too busy furiously erasing a 16-point deficit to care.

Down by as much as 22, the Clips treated themselves to 38 points in the fourth quarter and went 14-22 from the field.

Russell Westbrook had a good look at a three pointer, that would have been a game winner, but he couldn’t get it to go, leaving the Clippers ecstatic, exhausted, and relieved.
