Geelong Cats vs North Melbourne Kangaroos: Live scores

By SportsFingers / Roar Pro

Geelong host North Melbourne in a test of mettle for the Kangaroos, who will show in this game whether their pre-season anointing was on the money.

The Scott twins compete in the coaching box with the ledger at two wins apiece.

Chris Scott’s Geelong side have had better weeks, dealing with a dismantling by Fremantle and the loss of star Steve Johnson to suspension.

It will be a tough pill for the Cats to swallow, but the side have bounced back from bigger losses in the past, and won’t be dispirited by the loss in the West.

On the other hand, Brad at Arden Street enjoyed having skipper Andrew Swallow back from a long break as they destroyed Brisbane by 87 points.

There’s some distance between the Kangaroos’ best (wins at Sydney and Fremantle) and worst (home loss to Gold Coast) so it could depend on which side shows up.

At their best North should present a stiff challenge to Geelong.

Key: With just two losses at Simonds Stadium in their past 47 games, Geelong will enjoy their first hosting of Friday night footy in Victoria’s second city this season.

At home, they should be strong enough to beat a spirited North Melbourne side relatively comfortably.

Tip: Cats by 15 points

That's it! Geelong have outplayed North by 20 points. At some stages it felt like the margin should have been more. Overall it was a great game. Feel free to discuss with fellow Roarers. Good Night!

And thats the third. North are still in the game but will need to be quick to peg back the thirty point margin.

Half-time, 69-34. The roos are very lucky that the margin is that small. North did improve on the first but they are still getting massively outplayed. The roos have some great games and some shockers, this one's a shocker.
