What are the most bizarre sports records? It’s a good debate to have in a pub, that’s for sure.

In 2003 an Irish runner Tony Mangan ran 251.79 miles in 48 hours on a treadmill.
Sally Orange owns the record for fastest marathon run in a fruit costume, completing the London marathon in 4 hours, 32 minutes and 28 seconds in an orange suit.
The record for highest score in an ice hockey game belongs to the 2008 Slovakian women’s team, which beat Bulgaria 82-0 in a pre-Olympic qualifier.
In 2002, AS Adema beat SO l’Emyrne 149-0 in a Madagascar National championship football match. Australia holds the world record for the biggest win in an in international, 31-0 v American Samoa. Archie Thompson scored 13 goals.
Stephen Gyde holds the record for the most number of wins in The Cooper’s Hill Cheese-Rolling and Wake, with 21. All Black Marc Ellis won the event as well, and previously held the world record for most tries in a Test, with six.

Kentichi Ito from Japan holds the World Record for running on all four limbs, setting a best time of 16.87 seconds at Olympic Park in Tokyo, November 2013.
Takeru Kobayashi from Japan is the Bradman of eating. He holds multiple world records for speed-eating, including 110 hot dogs in 10 minutes at the New York State Fair.
Ted Potter played 182 matches for Collingwood in the VFL and never kicked a goal, the most by any player in AFL/VFL history.
Ishant Sharma dropped Alastair Cook in Edgbaston in 2011 – Cook scored 294. He dropped Michael Clarke in Sydney in 2012 – Clarke scored 329. He droped Brendon McCullum in Wellington in 2014 – McCullum scored 302!
Jim Marshall played 270 games in a row in the NFL, a record, but he also run the wrong way in a game. On October 25, 1964, in a game for the Cleveland Browns against the San Francisco 49ers, Marshall recovered a fumble and ran 66 yards the wrong way into his own end zone. Thinking he had scored a touchdown for the Vikings, Marshall then threw the ball away in celebration. The ball landed out of bounds, resulting in a safety (two points) for the 49ers.
In 1996, Norwich College First XV beat Eccles and Attleborough Rugby Football Club 177-3 in what is believed to be the highest-ever score in a rugby game.
Jack Taylor scored 138 points in an NCAA game, surely a record in any basketball game!
