'Roos cut eight players from their list

Midfielder Liam Anthony leads a group of eight players cut from North Melbourne as AFL clubs continue to finalise their lists.

Anthony only managed four senior games this season for a career total of 58 since his 2009 debut.

Former Richmond small forward Robin Nahas joined the Kangaroos this year as a delisted free agent and played eight games for an AFL total of 91.

Taylor Hine (14 games), Cameron Delaney (six) and rookie-listed player Max Warren (one) were the others with AFL experience to leave.

Tom Curran, Mitch Witkins and rookie Tim McGenniss did not make their senior debuts.

The `Roos also announced on Friday that they have promoted Joel Tippett, Kurt’s younger brother, and Kayne Turner from their rookie list.

Turner was a sensation at the end of this season, making his debut and playing in North’s last six games.

The 18-year-old schoolboy was the youngest AFL player this year.

Levi Greenwood went to Collingwood, while North picked up free agents Jarrad Waite and Shaun Higgins.
