FIGHT PREVIEW:

The fighters are set to rumble as the Ultimate Fighting Championship hosts UFC Fight Night 55: Rockhold vs Bisping today at the Allphones Arena in Sydney.

The event will air live on Fox Sports 3 with the first fight starting at 11am (AEDT).

The fighters weighed in yesterday at the arena. At this time of writing, two fighters (Vik Grujic and Louis Smolka) weighed in over the limit.

The undercard fights are scheduled for three five-minute rounds, with the main event being contested over five.

Round 2: Rockhold looking more confident, countering Bisping with a short hook as the latter comes in. Rockhold lands a swift head kick, changing levels from a body kick. Rockhold floors Bisping and ensnares a deep guillotine, finishing it from mount.

Round 1: Bisping begins the action utilising lots of footwork and trying to neutralise Rocklhold's range. Rockhold looking relaxed in the cage, waiting for an opportunity to counter. The two clinch up against the cage but the action is stopped due to a clash of heads. The action is resumed in the clinch but the two break away. Rockhold lands a slapping body kick as he begins to move forward a bit now. A body kick is caught by Bisping but Rockhold spins away. A counter 1-2 is slipped by Rockhold, who lands another body kick. A body kick from Bisping is blocked by Rocklhold. Rockhold throwing more body kicks as the final minute ensues. A leg kick gets Bisping's attention. A straight left from Rockhold further opens up the cut over Bisping's left eye. Bisping ends the round with a superman punch - leg kick combo.

Round 2: Iaquinta opens the round with another gauging side kick. Pearson continues to stalk Iaquinta, attempting to cut off the cage. A wide right hook drops Pearson momentarily but he stands back up. Iaquinta continues his barrage, eventually dropping Pearson and ending the fight.

Round 1: Iaquinta comes out with a low left hand, dancing around and attempting a side kick. Pearson ducks a right hook and lands some thudding shots. Iaquinta lands a straight right that makes Pearson wary. A body kick is caught by Pearson but Iaquinta manages to stand back up. Iaquinta countering Pearson's swings effectively. A body kick by Iaquinta is checked well by Pearson. A short left hook lands for Pearson in the final minute. A front kick from Pearson is caught but the ensuing takedown is stuffed.

Round 2: Whittaker now stalking Hester, landing a commanding jab and leg kick. A big overhand right lands for Hester as the two are now swinging back and forth. Hester lands a good knee from the clinch. Hester initiates a clinch and shoulers Whittaker as blood pours from the latter's nose. Whittaker beginning to land more as Hester looks visibly tired. A big knee from Whittaker floors Hester and ground-and-pound ends the night.

Round 1: Hester with a hard knee but Whittaker rallies back with punches. Hester is clipped with an uppercut but tries to change levels but Whittaker stuffs the takedown. A stiff jab lands for Whittaker. Some blood pouring from Whittaker's nose. Hester lands a cracking spinning elbow. Whittaker staying at a distance working leg kicks at the midway pount. Whittaker lands a long right that floors Hester. Hester tries to recover but gives up his back. Hester stands back up but Whittaker secures the double-leg. Whittaker passes into half-guard but Hester defends the ground-and-pound well. Whittaker secures full-mount but Hester uses the cage to reverse Whittaker on to his back before the bell.

Round 2: Soa starts the round with a front kick up the middle. Harris shoots a straight left but Soa answers with a buckling leg kick. A hook stumbles Soa as he comes in. A hard right lands for Soa but his following takedown is stuffed. Harris' nose showing some blood. The two exchange hard hooks after the three minute mark. A looping right by Soa misses and his clinch is stuffed. Soa blocks a head kick from Harris. The two are now showing signs of tiring as the round passes the halfway point. A big head kick from Soa gets Harris' attention. Soa shoots in for a takedown and lands it after some struggle. Soa secures full mount in the final minute and finishes matters with ground-and-pound.

Round 1: The two start tentatively. Soa shoots in quickly for a takedown against the cage but Harris escapes. Soa shoots in again but is stuffed. Harris lands a solid body kick as Soa escapes. Soa lands a right and evades a counter 1-2. The crowd growing restless now as little action has taken place heading into the last 2 minutes of the round. Soa lands a head kick before the final minute. A slapping body kick lands for Harris, followed by a left straight. Round ends with little action.
