The Perth Scorchers make the long trip to Hobart for a replay of last years BBL final against the Hurricanes. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 1.45pm AEDT.

Can the Hurricanes gain some revenge and stay in contention for this season finals or will the Scorchers continue on their winning form and derail the Cane train?

The Hurricanes last home game is a day game which should attract a good crowd being a Sunday afternoon in the holiday season.

Perth arrives in Hobart as defending champions and one win away from securing another semi final berth. Hobart needs to keep winning after a good win over Sydney Thunder. However this has been their problem, winning two in a row.

The Scorchers have actually arrived in Hobart earlier than the Hurricanes, getting in Friday whilst the Hurricanes returned back from Sydney on Saturday morning.

The only other time Perth played in Hobart was in BBL02 when the Hurricanes prevailed.

The Scorchers have a well balanced team with plenty of pace and spin options. The Hurricanes went with plenty of seam bowlers on a dicey pitch at Spotless Stadium. This meant that spinners Doherty and Boyce were not even needed. Today’s game should see them add a batsman in either Michael or Willis to replace Gulbis or Boyce.

The key to this game could will be George Bradley Hogg. Hoggy has come back from injury and played two games for an incredible four wickets at 6.25 and an economy rate of 3.12. The way the Hurricanes played Fawad Ahmed at Blundstone Arena a few days ago doesn’t fair well for their tussle with Hogg.

They may be best to sit on Hogg and attack the other bowlers but this is easier said than done.

Perth has a plethora of good spinners in Turner, Agar and Muirhead. Their quick’s in Behrendorff and Tye have been just as impressive.

Michael Carberry is starting to run into form after a man of the match effort last start and together with Klinger and Voges, form an experienced batting line up.

The Hurricanes have unearthed a rising star in Jake Reed. He bowls quickly and was deadly against the Sydney Thunder on a pitch that gave him something.

Once again the batting will revolve around Bailey, Wells and Dunk as they will be still missing Tim Paine through injury.

On form the Scorchers look strong but the betting has probably got this right as both teams are $1.90 to win. T20 is a fifty fifty chance in any game.

Prediction: Hurricanes to win at home and upset the reigning champions.

Can Hoggy turn it on and weave his magic a third time for the Scorchers? Will the Hurricanes finally find the answer and win two games in a row?

Remember Freddie Wilde's previews? Scorchers and Strikers in the battle for bottom places. Scorchers at the top 3 years in a row with "no names"... Who just get on with the business of making names for themselves.

Perth Scorchers show why they are the current champions. They can defend anything. If they start to get some runs they will be unbeatable. They have come to Hobart and silenced the crowd and sewn up a finals berth. The Hurricanes will now struggle to make finals with only one agme remaining. The Scorchers just strangle the opposition. Today it was Behrendorff and Arafat Hurricanes once again disappoint ,they just can't win two in a row. Michael Hill was only batsman who was willing to fight it out. This is the best bowling line up in BBL Perth now have ten days off and will be looking to cement a home final Hurricanes head to Gabba on Thursday.
