FIGHT PREVIEW:

Can Conor McGregor continue his tear on his quest to earn a shot at Jose Aldo’s Featherweight title, or will Dennis Siver derail the hype train? Join us on The Roar from 10:00am (AEDT) for live commentary to find out.

Ireland’s ‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor (16-2) has become the talk of the MMA world, with the help of his fast hands and faster mouth. The Dublin born superstar will be looking to make fast work of Dennis Siver (22-9, 1NC), predicting a two-minute finish of the Russian-born UFC veteran.

Dennis Siver has different ideas. With recent comments angering the Russian (who fights out of Germany), Siver will be looking to ruin the reputation of McGregor and get himself in the title picture in the process.

McGregor is currently ranked fifth in the featherweight division, and has been promised a title shot with the win. Tenth ranked Siver will be looking to leap frog McGregor for that position.

Quickly becoming one of the most watched and talked about men in the UFC, there will be lots of eyes on Conor McGregor. Dennis Siver has the chance to pull off one the biggest upsets in MMA, and he would be doing it in front of millions watching around the world.

The co-main event sees two of the biggest lightweight stars in the UFC battle for a third time, with fifth ranked Benson ‘Smooth’ Henderson (21-4) taking on Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone (22-6, 1NC)

The former UFC Lightweight Champion Benson Henderson is coming off a disappointing first round TKO loss to Rafael Dos Anjos (23-7) in what many believe was an early stoppage. This will be the first three-round fight Henderson will compete in a long time, against an opponent he knows very well.

Replacing the injured Eddie Alvarez (25-4), on short notice, ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone will take on Henderson just over two weeks after his impressive decision victory over Myles ‘Fury’ Jury (15-1) in the co-main event of UFC 182.

Cerrone is currently riding a six fight win streak, and his next bout against Benson Henderson is set to be his seventh fight in fifteen months. Cerrone has faced Henderson twice in the past, and lost both times, once by decision in 2009 in what was named the best fight of the year, and again in 2010 with via a first-round guillotine choke.

Will McGregor get his title shot, or can Siver derail the hype train? Will Cerrone be third-time lucky against Henderson, or can Henderson finally end Cerrone’s winning streak? Join us on The Roar from 10:00am (AEDT) for live round-by-round updates to find out.

I've watched it twice too. Hendricks clearly lost two rounds. Hendricks may have edged round 1 but wasn't remotely dominant. Whoever that first round is given to, it's close. How is that in any way a robbery?

Siver looks relaxed and calm, as he steps into the octagon. This is his first ever main event.
