Crystal Palace vs Arsenal: 2015 English Premier League live scores, blog

Crystal Palace will be looking to down an Arsenal side gunning towards a top-four finish when they host them in the English Premier League at Selhurst Park. Join us on The Roar from 2:00am (AEDT) for live scores and commentary.

Crystal Palace haven’t been able to hand the Gunners a loss in their last 10 meetings, however manager Alan Pardew believes that even managing to salvage a point against Arsenal will play dividends for his side.

“If we can get a point, or three points, it would be a massive boost for us,” he said pre-match.

Crystal Palace are just five points clear of the relegation zone, however with so many players set to miss the clash due to injury, the Eagles could potentially find themselves in a dangerous spot after the gameweek.

Australian skipper Mile Jedinak, Yannick Bolasie, Marouane Chamakh, James McArthur and Jonathan Williams are all set to miss the home fixture.

Arsene Wenger’s side, however, could potentially be boosted by the return of Jack Wilshere and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Wilshere has been out of commission since last November due to an ankle problem, and Oxlade-Chamberlain has not featured for the Gunners for more than a month due to a groin injury.

The Gunners have managed to earn 12 points out of a possible 15 in their last Premier League fixtures, with their only defeat coming away from home against Tottenham.

Arsenal are coming off a 2-0 FA Cup win over Middlesbrough, and will be looking to take their momentum into Selhurst Park and leapfrog Manchester United and Southampton into third place on the ladder.

The last time these two sides played was back in August of last year, where an injury-time goal from Aaron Ramsey broke the hearts of Crystal Palace, and secured a 2-1 win for Arsenal.

The Eagles will take on a stronger Gunners side lacking depth, so expect a more convincing win from Arsenal this time around.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 0-3 Arsenal

Can Crystal Palace pull off a shock win, or will Arsenal successfully continue their quest for a top-four finish in the English Premier League? Join us on The Roar for the live blog from 2:00am (AEDT) to find out.

FULL TIME What a end to an exciting game, if you looked at the score, it would not reflect the game! Palace came out strong before giving away an early penalty in the box, Souare brings down Welbeck in the box and Cazorla finished with style. The Eagles came out strong again, and dominated the half, before a deflected shot from Welbeck found Giroud who slotted the ball into the net right at the end of the first half. Despite going down by two in the first, Palace came back strong and looked determined to come back to level terms. The goal came too little too late as the substitute Murray got his first ever goal at Selhurt Park in the 94th minute! Just thirty seconds later he hit the bar, as Arsenal went into full time somewhat lucky to get the three points! A loss for Manchester United puts Arsenal in third place, and they will stay there if Southampton drop points. The final score at Selhurst Park: CRYSTAL PALACE 1 - 2 ARSENAL
