Nelson has provided two good, high-scoring games so far this World Cup, so this will be an opportunity for batsmen to get their teeth into a big innings.

A Bangladesh win here would set them up for an epic play-off with England to decide a quarter-final berth.

Scotland have lost all three games, including an historic game against Afghanistan. It doesn’t get any easier for them here and the form line points to a Bangladesh win.

Scotland will bank on Kyle Coetzer, Matt Machan and Richie Berrington with the bat. They have been their highest scorers so far, and Coetzer in particular looks the goods.

With the ball two medium pacers in Alasdair Evans and Josh Davey will lead the attack, with off spinner Majid Haq providing much needed experience.

Bangladesh were able to comfortably account for Afghanistan but were no match for Sri Lanka.

Bangladesh’s leading batsman has been Shakib Al Hasan, the experienced all rounder, who needs to take more responsibility and bat higher in the order. Keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim has also scored well. Their captain and opening bowler Mashrafe Mortaza leads their attack whole heartedly.

Do yourself a favour and watch Soumya Sarkar bat. Sarkar only made 25 against Sri Lanka but he hit some of the most exquisite cover drives you will see. He is an elegant left-hander who has only played three ODIs at the age of 22. He is the future of Bangladesh cricket but needs protecting and should bat at five, not three.

Scotland will be at home in New Zealand, having already played a few matches there and with the conditions in their favour. Bangladesh will possibly add another spinner to their attack.

Prediction
Bangladesh to win, but not without Scotland having a sniff.

Can Bangladesh set up a huge clash with England by winning this one, or will Scotland spoil the party and get something out their World Cup campaign? Join The Roar from 9am (AEDT) for score updates and debate in our live blog.
