West Ham must replace Allardyce - and soon

By Constance / Roar Pro

Sam Allardyce is certainly a name not wanted to be heard by West Ham fans right now.

The Hammers fans wonder how they are going to deal with the demise of a club which once was looked onto as a fierce and fighting team, but has since been reduced to an easy three points.

There is no doubt that Sam Allardyce should be going on search for a new club come the end of the season after his poor efforts and terrible tactics. These decision have seen a depressing fall of West Ham United.

When managers perform poorly in their role, it will always affect the team, no matter how slight.

This is the case with West Ham – who have again and again noticed the undesirable performances of Sam Allardyce and have matched his ill-will with player forms that go hand in hand.

That isn’t good for any club. This kind of behaviour is just poisonous and sour.

West Ham sit tenth under Sam Allardyce. They will be hoping to do a lot better next season after constantly being picked off in recent matches by teams who know the situation at the club.

Carlton Cole’s attacking presence hasn’t been enough to save the club from their demise in recent times and in turn the whole club is looking dreary in front of goal.

If West Ham can obtain a better coach for next season then they can almost certainly challenge for a top-four spot because they have the players to do. This includes new recruit Alex Song, Carlton Cole and the strength in midfield with the likes of Kevin Nolan and Noble.

All of these players know the potential at West Ham and it is only matter of time before they are given the right coach who is capable of mustering and unleashing that talent in a perfect way.

Curbishley was the one of the main reasons we got relegated! Sold all our talent and replaced them with players that were in no way PL worthy. I would rather we find out if Moyes is sick of Spain yet, he might not be a good 'big club' manager but if there's one thing he's good at it's getting a smaller club to punch well above their weight.

I don't personally believe Big Sam is to blame. It's very difficult for teams like west ham to be expected to consistently perform for 38 weeks, as they're squad doesn't run very deep and if one player goes down with injury the squad falls apart, as we've seen this season with the likes of Carroll, sakho and Reid missing out quite a bit. Surely Sam can't be blamed though for the last minute goals conceded by the hammers which have cost them all three points. The hammers over the summer must make sure that they re-sign cresswell and jenkinson and maybe recruit another classy midfielder.

The Hammers trot this nonsense out every year about playing in Europe and they always end up in the bottom half of the table. If they want to play Championship football, fine, sack Alladyce. If they want to stay in the Premier League give him a payrise and buy some new players. They sacked Redknap and Curbishley, two blokes who knew about survival in the Premier league, they got relegated soon after they got sacked, same will happen if big sam is given the goot. How have Bolton gone since he left??

OK.....lets blame the Manager so first of all someone must be found to be a better propersition than big Sam,hands up anyone..no... well how about Harry Redknapp....yes I know he has been their before and stayed 7 years in the job, maybe he could be induced to come out of retirement. He can be a top class man manager and has an eye for talent and gives his all ,what more would you want well what Harry would want would be no interference from management.in team selection and trust in his opinion of players to go and come in.....a big ask but what do West Ham really want for middle of the table it is ....without someone like Harry.

You were on the money til you mentioned Carlton Cole and Kevin Nolan. They are part of the problem. Yes it's time for Sam to go. He's taken West Ham as far as he can. While not getting relegated is West Ham's usual goal, if we have any ambition of moving up in the world in conjunction with the massive new stadium, then a new mindset and a better manager and squad is required. The Hammers need to stop being happy go lucky losers and accepting survival as their only goal.

Sorry constance but a new manager isn't going to get much more out of the players you mention. Leaving aside the good patch at the beginning of the season 10th is a pretty good position for west ham (there have only been a handful of finishes higher). That's not to say Allardyce is on his way though, or that he shouldn't be. It may be a dream of yourself and the owners of being a top four side but it will need more than a new manager.
