Here are my player ratings from Round 12 of Super Rugby. Submit your own, keeping the figures for mediocre scores aside for reasons of brevity and so that the focus is on the best and worst performers.

Scores should be between anyone over 7 and anyone below 4, i.e. for very good and poor performances. Half scores are allowed i.e. 7.5, 3.5 and so on.

SUPER RUGBY TABLE

Please submit your own scores for a whole team. The minimum is one team, there is no obligation to score all the games. I average the scores per team by the number submitted. I will compile every ones submitted teams scores and produce Wallaby form teams later in the week. There will be 1 team of the round and 3 accumulative teams.

Blues – Force
Force were clueless and outgunned. They missed far too many tackles. They lacked the speed, power, and quality of the Blues. However unusually for them they lacked heart and fight. Blues broke tackle after tackle both in tight and out wide. Forwards and backs were both outclassed.

M. Hodgson 7.5/10

Brumbies – Waratahs
Enthralling game for its brutal intensity, obvious rivalry and the how tight the scoring was. It was an arm wrestle all game. With the referee ignoring offside and slowing of the rucks this is a glimpse of what it will be like in the RWC, no quick ball and enterprising backline play hard won. It will be a war of attrition in the trenches. It was this intensity and battle royal and the pressure that caused a lot of the handling errors.

Brumbies
S. Fardy 8/10
D. Pocock 9/10
I. Vaer 7.5/10
C. Lealiifano 8.5/10
R. Coleman 7.5/10
T. Kuridrani 7.5/10
J. Tomane 7.5/10
J. Mogg 7.5/10

Waratahs
B. Robinson 7.5/10
T. Latu 8/10
S. Kepu 7.5/10
W. Skelton 8.5/10
M. Hooper 8.5/10
A. Ashley-Cooper 7.5/10
I. Folau 8/10

Rebels – Chiefs
The Rebels are enjoying their best year with wins over the quality sides Chiefs, Crusaders and Brumbies. This was another hard-fought, close game.

The Rebels played with immense heart and a never say die attitude. The Chiefs’ ill discipline let them down badly. Rebels took advantage of nearly every opportunity they made.

The Rebels were tougher and harder than the Chiefs. The Chiefs were more skilled and were faster and made many breaks but it was not enough. A case of substance over sizzle.

The Rebels biggest Achilles heel was their scrum with it being overpowered often. Their lineout was much improved with Leafa throwing straight.

T. Smith 3.5/10
L. Timani 7.5/10
L. Jones 7.5/10
S. Higginbotham 8/10
N. Stirzaker 8.5/10
J. Debrezceni 7.5/10
M. Inman 7.5/10
D. Shipperley 7.5/10
B. Hegarty 7.5/10
