FFA chairman Frank Lowy gave spectators at the 2015 A-League grand final a scare on Sunday evening, as he tumbled from the stage while assisting in the trophy presentation.

The 84-year-old billionaire made the slip as he stepped forward to pick up the trophy with FFA CEO David Gallop.

The Victory players waiting to receive their prize were left in shock as they waited to see if their sport’s chairman was unharmed.

Luckily, aside from a sore shoulder and some grass in his hair, Lowy was able to recover to continue the presentation.

Melbourne Victory claimed their third A-League crown with the win, after defeating arch-rivals Sydney FC 3-0 in front of a packed house at AAMI Park.
