We are back again on the eve of Round 9, bringing to you the best buys for Supercoach this week.

Last week, Luke Parker came in at number 1 at a touch over five hundred thousand, and rewarded those who jumped on with 124 against the Hawks.

Against a depleted Carlton midfield, should run rampant again this week.

Tom Rockliff, likewise, came in at a bargain price and scored 120 against the Dons.

Jake Lever was last week’s third best buy, and scored 73, rewarding buyers with a 49 thousand price rise.

Robbie Gray at number 4 continued his stellar form of 2015 with 119, now having 6 of his 7 scores being 114 or above.

Alex Rance at number 5 rained on the top 4’s parade of success, and came out with just 59 against the Power.

Let’s get into this week’s top picks.

Top five
1. Tom Rockliff (MID, $465,500)

I have to include him again this week, after 120 against the Dons he looks well and truly back into form and moving freely out on the field. He has the Saints this week and is still insanely cheap for his ceiling. Don’t wait too long or you’ll miss out on his hard-to-refuse price.

2. Heath Shaw (DEF, $505,400)
Has been extremely consistent in 2015, if you don’t have him, you’ll strengthen your defence very well with the addition of Shaw. Seven of his eight scores have been between 85 and 122 and is a staple of the GWS defence, and his leadership often sees the ball in his hands.

A bit of a no fuss selection here, isn’t super cheap, isn’t super expensive, but a very good pick nonetheless, and considering the backline troubles this year, if you’re one of the 73.5 per cent of teams without him, you should really jump on board.

3. Shane Savage (DEF, $317,700)
Perhaps a tad of an eyebrow-raising pick, but I truly believe Savage at his price is a valuable pick up, and at worst could end up being your first choice cover on your bench once you upgrade the rest of your side.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see him average 85-95 for the remainder of the season. His kicking efficiency is elite which helps him immensely and is a go to man out of the Saints backline (which sees the ball a lot). Averaged 90 ppg when he changed roles and moved the half back line from Round 14 onwards of 2014, so has proven scoring potential. He is incredibly cheap due to his injury game a few weeks ago and has returned with scores of 92 and 94.

4. Jordan Lewis (MID, $538,100)
Scored 117 against the Swans post-suspension and now averages 111. Has Gold Coast and St Kilda before his bye and is at a very affordable price. Has racked up 29 or more disposals in each and every one of his games and is a shoe-in for 6 or more marks a game.

5. Brett Deledio (FWD/MID, $532,400)
Lids has been exceptional against Collingwood and Port Adelaide with scores of 133 and 142, he was expected to drop below 500k – but that looks unlikely now. Still looks a very good option and is only owned by 5 per cent of teams so represents a point of difference. Looks crucial to the Tigers set up and structure.

Special mentions
Jordan De Goey – Has a breakeven of -10 but is named on Collingwood’s extended bench. Monitor to see if he is named to play, is priced slightly over 200 thousand as a rookie but his two full games have seen him score 88 and 48, so represents solid rookie value.

Bailey Dale – Has scored 50 and then just 32 in his first two games. Is a cheap rookie option in the forward line, and has been named on the field this week. Job security may be a concern.

The watch list
Shane Biggs – The former Swan’s debut game for the Bulldogs resulted in a score of 70 and many believe he will maintain his spot on the side. Plays his second game this week and may be a good downgrade option next week.

Scott Pendlebury – An uncharacteristic score below 100 has seen Pendles drop below 600 thousand and this week has a breakeven of around 130, so if you don’t bring him in this week (if you don’t have him) you won’t miss out on too much cash. You may be able to bring him in next week for below 590 thousand.
