Danny Green will fight Slovakian Tamas Kovacs in Melbourne in August but the four-time world champion says a rematch with Anthony Mundine remains his “end game”.
The 42-year-old announced the fight, his first since 2012, at Crown Casino in Melbourne on Wednesday, with the bout to take place at Hisense Arena on August 19.
Green said that he would have his hands full with the light heavyweight, who has a professional record of 26 wins and one loss, but has maintained his fighting weight since his last bout and still has a burning passion for the sport.
A rematch of his 2006 fight with Mundine, which he lost in a points decision, remains high on Green’s agenda.

Danny Green you are pathetic. Mundine has already made you look like an idiot and you come out saying you're his worst nightmare. Stop embarrassing yourself and trying to use the Man to gain publicity. He has too much class for you.

Green is a joke... He says he was weight drained for mundine... check greens boxing record and u will see he fought most of his career at super middle weight before the mundine fight... never claimed to be weight drained wen he was ko blokes in the SMD.. He said mundine always fight bums, but still he fights the same blokes after mundine.. just let it go green, you had a decent career, but in the end u got schooled by mundine who is just a better boxer(FIGHTER) then u..

Green will knock this guy out in 2 rounds and be a hero to his fans.look up this guys record look at the guys he has faced and there records! Tamas kovacs last fight was against a guy with a record of 11 fights and winning 7 of them then he goes from him to Green haha please.the guy has no experience compared to Green and has only been fighting for 6 years but try telling the Green fans that! Green will tell them his record is 26 wins and 1 loss so they will believe Green has a challenge on his hands. pathetic! Its like Carlton playing Coburg winning by 200 points and then claiming there back and better than ever.Typical Green scamming the public who no nothing about boxing.
