Novak Djokovic vs Kevin Anderson: 2015 Wimbledon scores

The match between Novak Djokovic and Kevin Anderson has been postponed due to bad light with the scores tied at two sets all. Play will resume on Day 8 of competition.

Kevin Anderson will look to make the quarter finals of a Grand Slam for the first time when he takes on Novak Djokovic in the fourth round of Wimbledon. Join The Roar for live scores of the match from 1:30am (AEST).

Before today’s match Anderson has made the fourth round at a Grand Slam six times for six losses.

He will be looking to break that streak against the world number one today.

Djokovic has been in superb form in the first three rounds, and has shown why he is the favourite, and the defending champion.

He hasn’t lost a set so far and survived everything Bernard Tomic threw at him in their third round encounter.

Djokovic has only lost 30 games in his nine sets of tennis so far.

Anderson on the other hand impressively defeated Leonardo Mayer in the third round to progress to today.

He did lose a set in his first two rounds, but he progressed without too much trouble.

These two players have faced each other five times with Djokovic leading 4-1 in the head to head battle.

Anderson won the first battle between the two at the Miami Masters in 2008 with a three set win.

Since then Djokovic has had the upper hand with four consecutive straight set wins. This includes a 6-3 6-4 6-2 win at Wimbledon in 2011.

Today’s match will be all about the serve of Anderson. If he serves well, and drags the sets to tiebreakers, then he can steal sets and trouble Djokovic.

Djokovic though, is one of the best returners in the game, and will create chances on the serve when Anderson is forced to rely on his second serve.

Anderson has been playing well on grass this year – he made the final at Queens – and could take a set from Djokovic tonight.

The world number one though will be too strong for the South African and will book his seventh straight quarter final at Wimbledon.

It will also be his 25th straight quarter final in all Grand Slams if he wins.

Prediction: Djokovic 3-1
