There has been a few questions raised since the arrival of Radamel Falcao at Stamford Bridge.

A few might be wandering why have Chelsea signed a player that flopped at Manchester United while only scoring four goals during the Premier League last season.

Others are also asking whether he will he be another Fernando Torres or another Andriy Shevchenko.

Well, the truth is that Jose Mourinho has finally got his man to the bridge. It took sometime to do it but he has got his man. Mourinho was previously looking to bring Falcao to Chelsea, or at least Chelsea were looking at one stage to sign him ( which fell through).

The other answer to that question is that Mourinho had no intention of singing Shevchenko and Torres (although it was Carlo Ancelotti who ended up singing Torres).

It was Roman Abramovich’s idea to get those two players to come to the bridge. Ambramovich wanted a big name striker at the club and he was the brains behind the capture of both.

Falcao will be great for Chelsea because of his physicality and his awareness. Yes, there may be some readers who do not agree with me and that’s ok. Falcao will be better at Chelsea than at Manchester United because of few things.

One is the style that Chelsea like to play. Chelsea like to move the ball to the strikers through pass and move and this will suit Falcao more than United. Chelsea love to do this especially when they have players in the middle like Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic. They can also provide many scoring options to Falcao through their wingers, Eden Hazard and Willian.

Chelsea also have a wildcard that can get Falcao to his best and that is Diego Costa.
The partnership will be reunited from the Atletico days and that should provide some confidence in Falcao.

Mourinho is always up for a challenge like this and this should make him happy.

We will have to wait and see if Radamel Falcao will return to his best form and prove that he is not a flop in the Premier League.
