Wallabies duo Matt Toomua and James Slipper have come through contact training well and are expected to be available for Saturday’s Rugby Championship decider against the All Blacks in Sydney.
Coach Michael Cheika will announces his team on Thursday and should be able to consider inside back Toomua and prop Slipper after their monitored recovery from head knocks suffered in the Wallabies’ last-start victory over Argentina in Mendoza.
“It’s been a tough few days, Cheik always likes to get into us nice and early,” said halfback Nick Phipps on Wednesday.
“We’ve been working pretty hard the last few days, especially around the physicality at the breakdown and around one-on-one tackles.”

Either Giteau or Foley at 10 with Toomua at 12 could be worth a look at.

CLL won't play in either Bledisloe; he's named in Robbie Deans' World XV that plays Japan on the 15th of August. As is Jones, Gill, Saia Fainga'a, Cummins, O'Connor, Naiyaravoro, the Ben(n)s as well as Berrick Barnes. Is Robbie throwing us a bit of a lifeline give some fringe players a run that Cheika hasn't had the time to see? (Namely CLL, Jones, Gill and O'Connor)
