UC Vikings vs Melbourne Rising highlights: NRC scores, result

The University of Canberrra Vikings will be looking to stay undefeated in the 2015 NRC season when they host the Melbourne Rising. Join The Roar from 7:30pm (AEST) for live scores.

The Vikings have been red hot all season, and do not look like slowing down.

Despite two early scares by the North Harbour Rays in their last match, the Vikings imposed their will to score nine tries and secure a 26-point win in Sydney.

It was the second week in a row that the Vikings scored over eight tries, after their incredible 76-16 demolition of the Sydney Stars.

The Vikings are destined for a spot in the finals, and if they keep performing like this they could take out the whole competition.

After making last year’s semi-finals, the Rising have had an inconsistent season, only winning three of their five games.

They are coming off a disappointing 10-point loss to the Perth Spirit, and it could have been worse were it not for the Spirit’s poor kicking.

These two met in Melbourne last season, where the Rising outclassed the Vikings all over the pitch to earn a 21-point win.

This season the Rising are struggling to find points, and if they don’t tighten up their backline they could be in for a long night in Canberra.

Hope Toua can stay injury free down in Canberra. Great speed and footwork, great potential. Just needs to stay fit.
