The once feared Seahawks have lost their mojo.

They still have Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch on offence but yet they continue to fail. They still have Richard Sherman and the rest of the Legion of Boom on defence. yet they continue to fail.

The Seahawks still have top class talent that could turn their recent misfortunes around. They still have the loudest fan-base in football and they still have the core of players who delivered them a Superbowl.

Oh, and now they have Jimmy Graham. So why have they lost their aura?

The Cardinals lead the NFC West Division. They are clear by three games to the Seahawks who better only the dreadful 49ers in the dregs of the division, with St Louis holding second position. Their dominance of the past two years has turned into a variety of bad play calls and head scratching decisions.

A dynamic Russell Wilson can often ignite this world class team but that is troubling when you have been sacked 33 times and traded arguably the best centre in the league Max Unger. It seems that the locker room may be also turning on Wilson, with Marshawn Lynch’s agent tweeting to Wilson “Pull your head out your ….”.

Offence isn’t the only problem though. The famed legion of boom had 451-yard dropped on them by Carson Palmer and the Cardinals. The lone bright star may be the ever reliable Bobby Wagner at the linebacker position.

Wagner has forced two touchdowns and against the Cardinals had a fumble recovery to go along with 70 tackles on the season.

In today’s NFL, it’s hard to retain key playmakers because anyone who makes the littlest impact feels they need to be paid accordingly. However, the Seahawks have retained that talented core and even added to it.

So I can’t help but feel that there has to be some mistrust within the organisation and wouldn’t put it past the team still hurting badly from a dramatic loss in last year’s Superbowl.

Hopefully this mini dynasty can turn itself around.
