Fight preview:

Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson wants to earn a second shot at UFC light heavyweight gold when he takes on Ryan ‘Darth’ Bader. Join The Roar from 12 midday (AEDT) for live commentary and round-by-round updates.

Since returning to the UFC as a light heavyweight, Johnson has shown the scariest hands in the entire organisation.

After knocking out Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Alexander Gustafsson in spectacular fashion, Johnson finally earned a shot at UFC gold… Things didn’t quite go to plan.

However, after returning with a devastating knockout win over Jimi Manuwa last September, Rumble is just one win away from another shot at the title.

After an inconsistent start to his UFC career, Bader has reinvented himself, and has the resume to prove it.

With five straight wins – including victories over Rashad Evans, Phil Davis and Ovince Saint Preux – Bader is knocking on the door of a title shot, and a win over Johnson would make him next in line.

Bader has fantastic wrestling and can keep a fast pace, but Johnson can change an entire fight with one punch.

Despite being the underdog, if Bader can take the fight into the later rounds, he should get the biggest win of his mixed martial arts career.

Prediction
Ryan Bader to defeat Anthony Johnson via submission in the fourth round.

Will it be Anthony Johnson or Ryan Bader that stake their claim for the next shot at the UFC light heavyweight championship? Join The Roar from 12 midday (AEDT) for live commentary and round-by-round coverage.

Cormier was right in the pre-fight show. Who ever wins Jones v Cormier will demand and get a rematch. The winner of that will probably fight Rumble if he's still in good form. Maybe he can fight Gustaffson again?

No offence to Bader. But that was a joke. Rumble just went through the motions and Bader had nothing.

Anthony Johnson has insane power, and he may have earned himself another shot at a UFC title.

#2 Anthony Johnson vs #4 Ryan Bader – ROUND 1/5 Round one of a possible five is underway. They touch gloves. Bader looks for a takedown early, Johnson sprawls and now Johnson has his back. Bader is looking for a kimura from the bottom, and Johnson is on top in full guard. Bader lets go of the arm, and Johnson is on top landing bombs. Bader is out cold and this fight is over quick.
