Who will shine this summer? And who will give their nation an edge to lift the World T20 trophy? Figures from the Indian Premier League may offer some answers for these questions.

Top Scores
1. David Warner – The recent winner of the Allan Border Medal accumulated 562 runs in the IPL in 2015. He has been in good touch with the bat, with some good scores against India in the ODIs.

2. Ajinkya Rahane – With 540 runs under his belt and recent form against Australia in the ODIs, Rahane can be highly influential in this World T20.

3. Lendl Simmons – With the same number of runs as Rahane, and his evident presence in the winning team – The Mumbai Indians – he can be lethal on Indian turners.

Strike Rate
This very important aspect of the shortest format has a mix of youngsters and veterans.

1 – Andre Russell – The West Indian all-rounder has a strike rate of 192.89, that’s nearly two runs a ball.

2. Hardik Pandya – The recent Indian debutant has a strike rate of 180, which is pretty interesting for someone at the start of their international cricket carrier.

3. AB De Villiers – His jack-out-of-the-box qualities make him someone to look forward to. His unorthodox shots and consistency is displayed at an admirable strike rate of 175.

Bowling
1. Ashish Nehra – The veteran, who has found his place in the Indian XI only after four years, holds the best bowling figures in the IPL – 4/10. It will be quite interesting to see if he makes it to the squad for the World T20.

2. Ravindra Jadeja – Fast and accurate are the words! Jadeja cannot get much turn, but can be dangerous with his accuracy. His figures of 4/11 are a demonstration of that.

3. Mitchelle Starc – Man of the tournament in the 2015 ODI World Cup and the spearhead of Australian bowling, his capabilities make him extremely dangerous. With figures of 4/15, he can be a big problem-maker for the other teams.

Most Sixes
1. Chris Gayle – With 38 sixes in the tournament, this West Indian can be a real big deal in the game.

2. Kieron Pollard – This West Indian all-rounder who is known for big hitting in the middle order has hit 28 sixes in the tournament.

3. Virat Kohli – Kohli has hit 23 sixes in the IPL and has been in great form. If he performs, India have a high chance of winning the World T20.
