Melbourne City star French import Harry Novillo was placed in handcuffs and taken from a Southbank apartment after an alleged altercation with his partner according to reports.
According to Fairfax, police responded to a verbal dispute at 3:30am but that no charges had been laid against the 24-year-old.
His 23-year-old partner was said to be in a distressed state at the time of the incident but there’s few details on exactly what took place.
Melbourne City issued a statement saying the club has been made aware of an alleged incident and that it will commence a full investigation.
Novillo was signed to the club almost 12-months ago to replace Damien Duff. He renewed his contract in June for two years.
