The Los Angeles Lakers are coming off a rare feat of two straight wins when they take on the Cleveland Cavaliers, in what will be the final game between Kobe Bryant and LeBron James. Join The Roar for live scores of this match from 2:30pm (AEDT).

The Lakers are glued to the bottom of the Western Conference, but have now won three out of their last five and are beginning to look like the team they could be, with the retiring Bryant leading the way.

While their last-start win was over the Orlando Magic, the game before that was the upset of the season, as the Lakers defeated the Golden State Warriors. In terms of the standings, 44 games separate the teams, but it didn’t stop the Lakers’ defence bringing out the worst shooting performance all season from Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.

In the end, it was the Lakers by 17 points.

The Cavaliers are coming off a win too, but with all the issues they have had internally this season, a few losses in the last fortnight will seriously concern Tyronn Lue and his men.

Going down to the Memphis Grizzlies, Washington Wizards, Toronto Raptors and Detroit Pistons has fans wondering what is happening in Cleveland.

The biggest point of this game is the battle between Kobe and LeBron. Both superstars are very, very competitive and will stop at nothing to register the win.

LeBron has plenty of backup, but against Bryant for the final time he could well try to take over the game.

The teams have already faced off once this season, in mid-February. Kyrie Irving dominated, scoring 35 points and making seven assists, while LeBron scored 29, for a nine-point Cavs win.

The game saw little defence being played, and whichever team can improve in that department may well run away with this game.

Prediction
The Lakers, with home court advantage and finally looking to be finding some form, to cause another massive upset.

Lakers by 3.
