Mark Stone has been absolutely obliterated by Dustin Byfuglien in the undisputed biggest legal hit of the National Hockey League’s season.

The 6’5″, 120kg monster absolutely buried the much smaller Ottawa winger with a textbook hip-and-shoulder in the second period of their game with the Winnipeg Jets.

Stone’s Senators teammates rushed in to protect his dignity, but it was too late to protect his battered body, as Stone was removed from the game with a chest injury.

Even though their winger took the hit, Ottawa had the last laugh – knocking off the Jets, 2-1.
