Barcelona will enter the second leg of their Champions League tie against Atletico Madrid with the advantage after securing a 2-1 win at Camp Nou on Wednesday morning (AEST).

It was Fernando Torres who went from hero to villain for Madrid, giving his side the lead in the 25th minute, before a second yellow card early in the second half saw his side reduced to ten men.

Barcelona’s attack would kick into gear with the man advantage, and it would be Luis Suarez to step up for the home side, netting goals in the 63rd and 74th minutes to secure the win.

The second leg of this quarter-final tie takes place at Vicente Calderon Stadium in Madrid on Wednesday, April 14 from 4:45am (AEST).
