Ernie Els had an absolute shocker to start his US Open campaign with the South African scoring a 10 on the opening hole.
In something resembling a weekend hacker, Els had a seven putt on the green with six of those putts coming from inside three feet.
Somehow, Els managed to put the disaster to one side and recorded a +8, 80 off the stick, which means he only carded +2 for the rest of his round.
The score of 10 on the opening hole is, not surprisingly, the worst start in US Masters history.
