Following a promising 2-2 draw for Arsenal at the all-blue Etihad Stadium, Alexis Sanchez had his famous smile back, having netted Arsenal their second equaliser.

Alexis has been a successful transfer from FC Barcelona to Arsenal in July 2014 for a fee of approximately 35 million pounds.

Not only is he a bright spark in the Arsenal line-up, but is the joint third-top goal scorer for Chile, with a total of 31 goals.

Alexis has been a standout among the Gunners squad, and a fan favourite, scoring a total of 13 goals this season, accompanied by four assists, with one game to play.

However, there was a moment notable of frustration against Norwich City, which ended in a 1-0 Arsenal victory. The Chilean was subbed off at the 84th minute, replaced by Francis Coquelin. Alexis not only didn’t acknowledge manager Arsene Wenger, but walked straight down the tunnel and stormed out of the stadium.

However, Arsenal fans can breathe a sigh of relief after Alexis was all smiles after finding the back of the net against City, assisted by French international Olivier Giroud, and celebrating with the fans.

Uncertainty remains, however, whether Alexis Sanchez will be an Arsenal player next season.
