Hi Marron, thanks for the comment! I agree, almost all stadiums have a different vibe after going under some sort of reconstruction. Some of the originality is lost. You're right, a financial move, and a smart move on behalf of the board. The streets were electric around the Boeleyn and unfortunately, in my opinion, it won't be the same. Thanks again.

Amazing send off. Of course, by all accounts the place hadn't been quite the same since they upgraded the west stand and removed the closeness to the pitch on the other side as a result. Heres's some highlights from the Frankfurt game https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgLvZb9o_LE Just check out how compact it all is particualry under the camera. What hadn't changed though was the relationship to the community outside. Nothing beats the feeling of the streets around grounds like the Boleyn. Moving makes financial sense and the 50000 season tickets sold attests to that. But I doubt walking through a shopping mall will have the same effect.
