It seems every Monday morning we’re left listening to someone complain about a decision from the NRL’s Bunker. But it looks like it will be a Thursday morning whinge-fest for those from New South Wales, after Josh Morris was denied a four-pointer.
Morris appeared to have burrowed his way over the Queensland line in what would have seen the Blues go ahead 8-6 with a kick to come.
Furthermore, referee Gerard Sutton thought that was the case, calling a try on-field before sending it to the Bunker for confirmation.

But after reviewing the footage, it was decided that Morris had not crossed the line. Rather, the Bunker was able to zoom in and call the moment when Morris stopped moving forward – with footage that he had not grounded the ball at that point.
The chicken appeared on ANZ Stadium’s big screens, before the red ‘no try’ sign flashed.
The crowd did not appreciate the decision, and it was the last time the Blues came close to breaching Queensland’s line.

Brahahaha, he clearly grounded his elbow on the line but unless he's quadruple jointed there's no way the ball got anywhere near the line. Plus when I stopped it at 10 secs the Commodore had clearly won the race to the ball.

Stop the video at 0.27 and you can see NO CONCLUSIVE EVIDENCE that the ball did not touch the line before it got pulled up again. So by the rule book they should have accepted the on field ref's call. Do the bunker guys listen to the Channel Nine commentators?

The Bunker cant overturn a scrum into a penalty. Thats one of their policies. So even if the Bunker had intervened they cant do anything.

Yep, the way the ball popped out after the tackle was fully concluded, usually a sign of a foul play. It led to quite a momentum swing.

OK lets stop the bunker bashing. Just because every NSW fan wanted that to be a try does not mean that the bunker was wrong. A far greater officiating problem was the reynolds strip which changed the momentum of the game and ultimately lead to NSW's only score. Prior to that incident, QLD had NSW on the rack and it is not unreasonable to suggest that QLD would have got another try had that strip have been called correctly. But the bunker wasn't asked about that so NSW got away with it.
