Preview:

UFC 200 is set to be a huge event with a number of excellent fights scheduled to take place including Tate v Nunes, Lesnar vs Hunt, Cormier vs Silva and Aldo vs Edgar. Join The Roar for a live blog of the event and round-by-round updates, starting from 12 midday (AEST).

After putting Holly Holm to sleep to win the women’s bantamweight title, Miesha Tate will be looking to solidify her place atop the rankings with a win over the only woman in the top ten yet to receive a title shot, Amanda Nunes.

Amanda Nunes is coming off three big wins over Shayna Baszler, Sara McMann and Valentina Shevchenko. Nunes is now looking to be crowned UFC champ in a title shot that she believes was a long time coming.

After leaving the UFC in 2011 and returning to the WWE, former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar has decided that its time that he made his way back to the UFC octagon. Having suffered diverticulitis during his time with the UFC, Lesnar feels that he never reached his full potential. Now, he has his chance.

Billed as the hardest hitter in the UFC today, Sydney-based Mark Hunt has made a career out of providing devastating highlight-reel knockouts. He now has the chance to add Brock Lesnar to that list, in what commentator Joe Rogan describes as a “dream fight”.

After having his title defence and rematch with Jon Jones called off due to Jones’ potential anti-doping violation, Daniel Cormier will still fight at 205 pounds. Coming off big wins over Anthony Johnson and Alexander Gustafsson, Cormier now has a chance to prove himself against the greatest of all time Anderson Silva in a non-title bout.

Without a win in his last four fights, Anderson Silva will enter the octagon at UFC 200 on just two days notice. Silva, hailed as the greatest of all time, will have a chance to prove he still belongs at the top of the sport as a contender against the dominant light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier.

Hailed as one of the greatest fighters in the history of the sport after a ten-year unbeaten run, Jose Aldo is looking to put the devastating loss to Conor McGregor behind him and claim the interim featherweight title in his second meeting with Frankie Edgar.

With five-straight wins over the likes of Charles Oliveira, BJ Penn, Cub Swanson, Urijah Faber and Chad Mendes under his belt, former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar is eager to erase his 2013 loss to Jose Aldo, and claim gold in a second weight class while doing it.

Predictions
Miesha Tate to defeat Amanda Nunes via unanimous decision
Brock Lesnar to defeat Mark Hunt via TKO in round two
Daniel Cormier to defeat Anderson Silva via TKO in round two
Jose Aldo to defeat Frankie Edgar via unanimous decision

He did but its not the hardest he's ever been hit. Lesnar did well to hold him down and grind his way to the win.
