Portugal overcame a match-ending injury to star player Cristiano Ronaldo to go on to defeat France in extra-time in the Euro 2016 final.
Ronaldo was stretchered off the field in the 25th minute with a leg injury and it made France overwhelming favourites from that point on.
However, despite a number of chances from the home team the scores were locked at 0-0 after 90-minutes.
Andre-Pierre Gignac should have scored in the first minute of extra-time but was denied by the post.
Just when it looked like the final was headed to a penalty shoot-out, Portugal put the pressure on. First through Raphael Guerreiro who went close with a free-kick.
It was followed moments later by the match-winner.
Eder sent Portuguese fans into raptures with the stunning strike in 109th minute with the substitute finding the bottom-right corner from 30-yards out.
It was Portugal’s first European Championship title and first major tournament win.
