Adam's Flemington quaddie preview for Saturday 22nd July

By Adam Page / Roar Guru

Ahoy roarers! The roughies were out in force at Caulfield on Saturday and we couldn’t snare a quaddie, but hopefully we can bounce back this Saturday.

I’ll be previewing the quaddies at Flemington this Saturday, starting off with the early quaddie, with the legs being races two through to five.

Flemington Early Quaddie

Leg One- Henry Bolte Handicap 1800m:
Onpicalo has early tempo but I doubt he will cross Kenjorwood. Keen on the latter horse here, but saving with Zebrinz and Pin Your Hopes.

Suggestion: 1-4-5

Leg Two- K A Morrison Handicap (78) 2000m:
Straight Jacket has the early speed to lead these despite the fact he is probably being aimed towards the jumps. 4 Name The Day looks the way to go in a tricky race.

Suggestion: 1-2-4-8

Leg Three- Wilson Medic One Rising Stars Final (84) 1800m:
Intrigo led all the way last start and will look to glide over from the wide gate. Taking on Daniela Rosa and settling with Yulong Baby and Ma Jones, with the former looking one of the better bets on the program.

Suggestion: 1-4

Leg Four- TAB/ATA Trainers’ Trust Handicap 1400m:
No set leaders at all here, so I think Williams on Kinshachi will roll forward from the wide gate and chance his arm. She has been fantastic this time in and should prove hard to beat.

Suggestion: 1-2-5-7

$50 investment= 52.08% of the dividend if successful

Flemington Quaddie

Leg One- Bruce Gadsden Handicap (90) 1200m:
Rich Jack has the early toe to lead this field up, and with the lightweight, he’ll take some stopping. Voodoo Lad looks the obvious, but is far too short in betting. Included in the Quaddie just in case.

Suggestion: 2-6-7-8-9

Leg Two- Bitalli Handicap 2500m:
Araldo Junior should lead these comfortably and hopefully for his supporters he shows more fight than last start. On a firm track, the value I think lies with 7 Backbone. He is a sharp improver if that eventuates.

Suggestion: 2-3-4-7

Leg Three- Flemington Event Staff Handicap (90) 1600m:
Can’t see any designated leaders here apart from perhaps Lord Durante if they revert to his old tactics of rolling along on speed. Jerilderie Letter is the obvious one on first look, but value is to be had with Aurum Spirit. We’re going wide here to make sure of this leg.

Suggestion: 1-7-8-12-13-14

Leg Four- VRC Recognition Handicap 1100m:
Thelburg and Manihi Mischief both have good early toe and should be on speed near the centre of the track. Runson was an impressive winner last start against the older horses while Ability has been well backed early.

Suggestion: 1-3-5-6-9

$50 investment= 8.33% of the dividend if successful

Haven't done the stats Adam, but the average winning price down the straight this racing season would have to be around $16. The Chua is amongst one of the few favs that have saluted. Is there a greater punters graveyard. A very average meeting yesterday, but it's hopefully all up from now. Winx over 1400 first up syd or Melb has been the word.
