Newton readying for camp and a Superbowl season

Newly listed atop of the NFL Top 100 list, current MVP quarterback Cam Newton is readying himself for a busy training camp.

Newton, who saw his Carolina Panthers defeated 24-10 by a Peyton Manning-led Denver Broncos will head into training camp with one thing on his mind – winning the SuperBowl in 2017.

Newton led his Panthers seemingly from nowhere to one of the NFL’s most successful seasons, picking up his first MVP award in the process. For many, he represents the new generation of NFL quarterback, adding running and tackling to his throwing prowess.

With many of his quarterback rivals well into their 30s, Newton has the opportunity to cement himself as the game’s premier playmaker next season.

As talented as he is charismatic, Newton knows there’s no point dwelling on the past. “I gain nothing by going back…I have learned from it”. A clearly excited Newton suggesting he was ready and “counting the days just to get back with the guys”.

The Panthers enjoyed arguably their best ever season in 2015, finishing with an impressive 15-1 record that included a 14-straight winning streak. It was an impressive season for Newton, throwing a career-high 35 touchdowns and rushing for 10 more.

The MVP won’t have to wait long to get back on the field, with his Carolina Panthers travelling to Baltimore in a preseason clash against the Ravens on August 11th.

Would be good to see them finally have a decent run at the playoffs. Luck doesn't get the credit he deserves. Better than Wilson in my opinion, yet he's rated well below according to many sources. I would tell you who I support, but you wouldn't like me hahaha

Watch Andrew Luck come back from injury with a bang . The guy is a cross between dan Marino (quick release) and Steve Young (speed and strength) Go colts !!!! -- Comment from The Roar's iPhone app.
